Snow

I can hardly believe that we have already had 2 snowfalls, and winter is not officially here!!

The first snowfall started about 10:30 during the last week of November, and these 2 insisted that they must watch!

The second came the first week of December during the morning.  Garrett loved trying to get it on his tongue.

Brave little fella!

Swimming lessons have paid off!!
We owe a big thanks to Ms. Regina for carrying on with lessons even when he cried--which was most of the time.  It was all worth it :)

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow

As of Feb. 9th, we have had 4 ground coverings of snow this winter.  I LOVE IT!!

This is from Jan 21st.  It had melted by noon and barely covered the ground, but it was beautiful falling!

S-N-O-W 2011

The first fall of snow is not only an event, it is a magical event, you go to bed in one kind of world and wake up in another quite different, and if this is not enchantment then where is it to be found?

Hoping for a Winter Wonderland tonight!

Last week, the meteorologist predicted 2-8" of snowfall starting Sunday, Jan. 9, for NE Mississippi.  All weekend everyone flooded the grocery stores to stock up on the usual--milk, bread, and eggs.  The snow began to fall around 5 p.m. Sunday afternoon. For those of you who really know Bo, know that this type of weather could almost compare to him winning the lottery.  So as soon as the snow began falling in Booneville, the Green's could do nothing more than to check out what was going on in town.

We stopped by Wal-Mart--and this is what the bread isle looked like

SNOW PARTY

 Lots of snow!

 Bo's fire

 Garrett's snow angel

This was at about 10 p.m.  The ground was covered with just a few hours of heavy snowfall!!

After staying outside for a couple of hours, it was time to go inside and warm up...
 and ride the 4-wheeler,

and eat snow cream!

Daddy was one of the first out in our neighborhood Monday morning.
Walking Belle, of course

The weather report said we got 6" of snow, but our measurement said 9".  Either way, it was plenty!!

Monday morning beauty!!

 Getting ready to play!!

Our neighbors Mark and Easton Cartwright were out in full force on their 4-wheelers all morning.  Mr. Mark carried Bo and Garrett for ride.

Covered in snow after sledding!

Here are a few video clips of sledding.
I figured this out all by MYSELF!!  So if I can post a video, anyone can :)

The snow came up to Belle's stomach.

 with Belle's help!

I thought the snow was beautiful in the trees!!

Needless to say, Monday night we were EXHAUSTED!!!

Tuesday, Jan. 11--Snow Day #2
 We stayed inside

 and played,

 and warmed by the fire.

Later that afternoon, the sun finally came out!!

There are still signs of the big snow almost a week later.
FUN, FUN TIMES:)
