First day of school

Thankfully he was excited about going today so that made it very easy for me to handle.  I'm just sad he is growing up so fast!

Meet the teacher

We went yesterday to meet his 4K teacher for the year.  I'm excited, nervous, sad, and anxious because he has never been in anything except sunday school and children's church before, so this should be an interesting journey.  I believe he will enjoy interacting with children his own age and will have fun with the activities they do.  It is only 3 days a week from 9-12:45.  His class has 9 boys and 4 girls, and his teacher is Ms. Melissa.

 The teacher has a 'birthday bear' that she lets the children take home when it's their birthday to stay for a couple of days and then we write a journal about what all the birthday bear did at our house.  Since his birthday was last week,  Garrett got to bring it home with him to stay until he starts to school.

Having to carry the bear back to school was no easy task either.  He thought it was his to keep, and this is also the child that doesn't even like to throw away to-go cups!!

While we were in town for Garrett's birthday, Camille finally got to meet her great-grandparents over the weekend.

The Birthday Party

Lots of thanks to our family for helping us pull off a wonderful party.  It's a tough task to plan a party with a newborn, so half of this wouldn't have happened if they hadn't been so very helpful!
