"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."  Jeremiah 29:11

Amongst the vacations in June, we were also in the process of moving to Birmingham.  It was a wild and crazy month.  A year or so ago, Bo decided that he wanted to go back to school to specialize in Endodonics. So he worked hard getting applications, essays, and recommendations together and we would follow the path that was paved for us.  I will brag on him- he applied to 10 schools and was asked by 9 schools for an interview; with most schools only accepting 3-4 residents per year, this made his chances of being accepted some where much better.  His first interview was in Birmingham, and as he was leaving the endo instructor caught him at the door and ask him to cancel all his other interviews because they wanted to offer him a spot.  In most cases, this takes up to a couple of weeks to find out.
So for 2 years he is in school, we have found a house in Hoover where we get to explore all the shopping, eating, and kid friendly things Birmingham has to offer.

New Orleans

A week after we got back from the beach, we headed to New Orleans for a few days.  The weather was HOT, but the food was delicious. Besides the must haves: Cafe Du Monde, Lucky Dog, and Pinkberry, we had Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., where the seafood hushpuppies were wonderful, and at Acme Oyster House.  Bo and I also had brunch for our anniversary at the Court of Two Sisters.

Here are a few random pictures I took

Daddy and Bubba brought in a Lucky Dog late one night and this little boy loved it.

The beach

We have a had a crazy, busy summer.  I am going to try my best in the next couple of weeks to be update.

In June, our first vacation was to the beach.  Perfect weather with lots of fun and good food!  My favorite meal was Shrimp and Grits at the Fisherman's Corner in Pensacola.. Best I've ever had!  Click on the name to check out the menu, and if you ever decide to go, it is best to make reservations.

Father's day

I was totally not prepared this father's day.  I didn't get a single picture of any of the men in our life :(

But here is one of my 2 favorite guys close to Father's Day.

ABC's

For a 2.5 year old, he does a pretty good job of saying his ABC's.  We have to do a little work on adding L and M though.
